Healing Through Connection

A Deeply Relational Approach To Healing And Transformation

Joytown invites another way to look at life – a way rooted in love, embodiment, intimacy, ritual, pleasure, and the belief that healing happens through connection to ourselves, to each other, and to the deeper truths living within us.

Everything here is grounded in presence, attunement, and the recognition that many of the beliefs shaping our lives were never ours to begin with. This work invites us to soften old patterns, trust our bodies, reconnect with possibility, and discover what becomes available when we create our lives from a place of love instead of fear.

The Joytown Philosophy

Joy As Medicine. The Body As A Gateway.

We believe healing does not have to come through force, shame, or endless fixing — it can come through presence, through intimacy, connection, pleasure, grief, honesty, breath, ritual, and learning how to fully inhabit the body again.

We create deeply attuned spaces where people are invited to soften old patterns, expand their capacity to feel, and reconnect with themselves in ways that ripple into every part of their lives.

Joytown Beginnings

A Space with Deep Roots in Healing

What began for Mel and Elisa as individual paths working with grief, healing, bodywork, ritual, intimacy, and expanded states eventually evolved into a shared vision: a place where people could gather to reconnect with themselves, each other, and the fullness of being alive. Today, Joytown reflects both of their gifts woven together: grounded, relational, deeply intuitive, and built with enormous love and intention.

RITUAL & RELATIONAL HEALING

Being an experiential learner and teacher, Mel has traveled the world to study with renowned teachers in wide modalities including altered states, sexuality, transpersonal psychology, trauma resolution, grief and death, addiction and recovery, eroticism, energy work, ritual and magic. She weaves these diverse lineages and wisdom into unique experiences that result in profound transformation.

Mel began exploring these realms at the age of sixteen after her own personal struggles with grief and trauma, and is passionate about helping people shift the negative patterns that block their access to hope, pleasure, resilience, and joy. Her work blends decades of formal training with deeply lived experience, creating spaces that feel emotionally honest, intuitive, and profoundly human.

MEL’S APPROACH + FOCUS

Mel’s work is described as deeply transformational, providing clean, reliable access to transcendence and abundant personal growth. In the tantric realms, her ability to lovingly address and uncover shame while reconnecting people to their own sexuality, desire, and vitality has shown many people how to create the life they have always wanted to live.

Clients often describe Mel’s work as loving, catalytic, deeply safe, and life-changing. She has a gift for helping people gently uncover shame, reconnect with desire and vitality, and move toward greater intimacy, freedom, and self-trust.

EMBODIMENT & SOMATIC HEALING

Elisa’s work is rooted in the belief that the body holds immense wisdom and truth. Through years of studying movement, bodywork, breathwork, energy work, and altered states, she developed an approach that helps people reconnect with themselves through grounded, embodied experience.

Drawn toward the relationship between the body, emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and expanded states of consciousness, Elisa has devoted herself to creating spaces where people can soften, feel safe in their bodies, and reconnect with the deeper intelligence already living within them.

ELISA’S APPROACH + FOCUS

Elisa’s approach honors the wisdom of the body as a gateway to transformation, recognizing that healing is not a linear process but a cyclical, intuitive journey. She has spent many years immersing herself and training in diverse therapeutic modalities, trauma-informed bodywork, movement practices, breathwork, energy work, expanded states, psychotherapy and sexuality. Her approach blends intuitive care with deep listening, creating experiences that feel grounding, transformative, and deeply supportive.

Clients often describe Elisa’s presence as intuitive, calming, nurturing, and deeply attuned. Her work invites people to soften held patterns, reconnect with their bodies, and rediscover the vitality, truth, and aliveness already living within them.

Transformation Lives Here

Tucked into the Colorado foothills next to world-renowned Red Rocks, the Joytown property invites people to soften, slow down, and reconnect with themselves and the world around them. Born out of love for the work and the women who do it, the space is held in a trust, purchased and cared for by a village of friends, family and community. Surrounded by old-growth aspens, lush gardens, and mountain air, this land holds the same intention as the work itself: presence, beauty, intimacy, and deep care. Joytown became the impossible dream that somehow came fully to life.
