Joytown’s Transformational Sessions are intimate 3-day retreats rooted in ceremony, embodiment, breathwork, and somatic practices. Through emotional, relational, and experiential work, these gatherings create space for deep healing, expanded awareness, personal transformation, and meaningful connection with yourself and others.

HOW THE WORK UNFOLDS

Joytown offers both curated retreat experiences open to the public and private group gatherings designed around the unique needs and intentions of a specific couple, family, friend group, or community. Most Transformational Sessions are immersive 3-day, 2-night retreats held onsite at the Joytown property in the Colorado foothills.

WHAT THE WORK CAN LOOK LIKE

Each experience is unique, but may include ceremony, breathwork, somatic healing, embodiment practices, emotional processing, integration support, rest, reflection, and meaningful connection with yourself and others.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

  • No prior experience with tantra, breathwork, somatic healing or ceremonial work is required — just a genuine willingness to show up for yourself.. Many participants are completely new to this work.

  • If you're here and reading this, that's usually a good sign. If you're unsure whether this is the right fit, we invite you to book a call and we'll figure it out together.

  • Yes. Joytown welcomes individuals, couples, partners, friends, and small groups.

  • Guests stay onsite at the Joytown property in shared or private accommodations depending on retreat format and availability.

  • Participants receive a detailed preparation list before their retreat, including recommended clothing, personal items, and logistical details. All linens, food, supplements and ritual ingredients are provided.

  • Open events are for individuals ready to do deep personal work alongside a small, curated group of individuals, which often creates its own unexpected magic. Private Groups are for those who want to share the experience with people they already know and love. Both are powerful, just different in form.

  • Transformational Sessions open to the public are generally limited to 3 or 4 participants. Private Groups can range from 3-20 people. We maintain a high staff-to-participant ratio throughout so that every person receives devoted, individualized attention.

  • Integration support doesn't stop when you leave. Every experience includes a follow-up call, a personalized 30-day integration plan, and detailed follow-up messaging with resources and playlists to support your continued unfolding.

  • All sessions are led by Mel and Elisa and supported by a carefully selected team. Both bring years of training and lived experience across somatic healing, breathwork, tantra, and ceremonial work.

  • We understand that life happens, and we do our best to work with you. Here's how cancellations are generally handled: If you cancel more than 30 days before your event, your deposit may be applied toward a future Joytown session or gathering within one year. If you cancel within 30 days of the event, your deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel within 14 days, you are responsible for the full price of the session. Exceptions may be made at our discretion in the case of a genuine emergency, and specific cancellation policies may vary depending on the retreat and timing of cancellation.
